Ira Gurukul School

What is NIOS?

National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS ) is an autonomous board by Ministry of Education. The key purpose of the NIOS board is to provide primary, secondary, vocational, and life skill education to a diverse group of learners including differently or specially enabled students. NIOS is recognised by the HRD department of Government of India and has the same value from any other recognised board

The courses offered by NIOS have the same standard and equivalence as the courses of study of other state/ national level board of school education.

Learners can learn at their time and pace and this allows the school to enable them in various facets of life including, functional skills, academics and vocational skills

School Readiness Programmes

The School readiness programme is a unique cognito- sensory-motor programme for age group 2-6 years for enabling students to integrate effectively in main stream. The idea behind this programme is to give every learner an opportunity to develop all the prerequisite skills helping them to integrate effectively in main stream schools. The programme also helps on strengthening social skills, executive skills, life skills and adl skills aiming at achieving greater independence and bridging the developmental and academic gaps. This programme also reduces the dependability of shadow teachers for our learners.
